Ways I Can Support You
How I support expecting families goes beyond being there for the birth. I believe that the supporting you through birthing experience needs to be holistic, so I am here for everything you need before, during, and after your child is brought into this world.
-
I support births at home, in birthing centers, or within a hospital setting - helping the birthing family experience a birth built around what you envision.
As your birth doula, I will:
Give you emotional, physical, and educational support throughout the birthing process while supporting your cultural and spiritual practices.
Use my expertise to prepare you with ideas for nutrition, healing, and everything else from preparing, into delivery, and through recovery.
Help you use prenatal yoga for a smooth delivery.
Be continuously present throughout labor and birth. Massaging, calm music, visualization, essential oils, anything that helps you feel comfortable.
Includes 2 prenatal visits, a prenatal yoga session, and a post-delivery visit.
-
I will care for you and your family in-home for the first few weeks following birth, or longer if needed.
I provide non-medical support and companionship, assist with newborn care and sibling adjustment, meal prep and household organization.
During this time, I ask you to focus on food intake, self care, bonding with your newborn, and being gentle with yourself. Birth is a time of adjustment for your body, mind, and spirit, and you must take care of those things.
I offer evidence-based information on feeding, emotional/physical recovery from childbirth, and other issues relating to the postpartum period. I can also make referrals if requested.
-
As a Certified Lactation Counselor, I work to improve breastfeeding relationships. Before the birth of your child, I try to collect colostrum prior to EDD, discuss what to expect within those first few days after giving birth, when to expect clustered feeding, how to be best emotionally and mentally prepared, and helping you build confidence through listening to what you need and give support to improve your chances of successful breastfeeding.

I am a light worker specializing in Havening. Born in Jamaica, my approach to healing was influenced by the natural way of living close to the land and interacting with nature. I work in Reiki as a way to help people heal.
Reiki is a form of energy healing in which hands are placed lightly touching the body, intended to create deep relaxation, help speed healing, reduce pain, and decrease unwanted symptoms. This can also be done long distance.
-
I will facilitate a candlelit baby blessing ceremony, welcoming the beautiful energy of your baby to this planet. The ceremony is based on the 4 elements, earth (dirt), fire (candles), wind (surrounding us everywhere), and water (which we drink, with a hint of lemon/lime)
-
My approach to Yoga is to sync the breath, body movement, and universal energy (body, mind, and spirit).
I also focus on balancing and centering the spine, to enhance the opening of chakras and allow healing to flow where its most needed.
